I subconsciously made my business goals my idol, which in turn affected my identity and my actions, and I didn’t even realize it. Fortunately, after a powerful mental breakdown and identity crisis, Jesus restored me and I realized what I was doing. I was so obsessed with success that I was chasing my goals and my desires over chasing Him. At that time, I cared more about my business than I did about my relationship with Him (even though I would have never admitted that to myself, or anyone else). And because of that, God really had to work on me to restore my heart and bring me back to the feet of Jesus, so I could reclaim my identity and authority in Him. The most remarkable thing is, the year that this spiritual breakthrough happened was the first year I had 6-figure business, which I know was no coincidence. But my heart had to be pure for this. I wasn’t seeking Him so I could have a successful business. I was seeking Him solely to seek Him. I had to purge the obsession I had over money and success before God opened that door. I had to be satisfied and content with letting that dream go, and be fully satisfied in Him. This breakthrough opened my eyes in more ways than one. It helped me realize we live in a world that teaches us to fight all of our battles physically instead of spiritually. We live in a world that teaches us that we always need to be searching for the next best strategy. We live in a world that teaches us that we are the only ones who can fulfill the desires of our hearts. But that’s not biblical truth. We must learn to fight our battles spiritually instead of physically–especially the battles we face within ourselves. We must learn to go to Jesus before we go to the next strategy. We must learn that the only one who can fulfill our true wants and desires is Jesus. Because no matter what the world says, we won’t be fulfilled by time or financial freedom. It will never be enough. We will only be fulfilled with eternal freedom, and that comes from Jesus Christ. This is the mission. To be totally and completely fulfilled with Jesus, reign within self-sabotage and spiritual warfare, and take bold and obedient action on your God-given call to CEO. Because I know what it feels like to work 24/7 on a dream or goal with little to nothing to show for it. I also know what it’s like to continue doing the same self-sabotaging behaviors again and again. I know what it’s like to feel so stuck in one of the deepest holes where you can’t even see the light. I also know what it’s like for the biggest mountains to pop up along your journey to try to deter you away from your purpose. This episode is pretty impromptu, and when I say "impromptu," I mean that the plan I originally had for this episode was to be walking you through how to cast vision for the year and take action on that vision.But as I was walking through the steps myself in December, the perfectly laid out vision and the organized steps and process to make that vision come to life... kind of exploded. What I mean by that is that I basically threw away and completely LAID DOWN at the feet of Jesus everything that I knew about goal-setting, forming habits and taking action on those goals…Which means I am approaching 2023 with a VERY different outlook, mindset and approach than I EVER have in the past.In fact, this was actually a very difficult episode for me to put together for you. It took me quite a few hours to even get my thoughts together.And to be honest, I really thought about just scrapping this episode all together and doing something else, but I felt led by the Holy Spirit to follow through. With that, I pray that as you listen to this, you feel REFRESHED going into the new year, and that any pressure that you have unknowingly put on yourself for this year to be taken away. I pray for any burden that you are carrying around hitting goals and striving to be lifted just as it was for me.Please know that I don’t think there is ANYTHING wrong with achieving things in this life, making plans, and having goals.What I'm saying is that I pray any burden or pressure you've put around yourself about those goals or plans is vanquished. Because those things can unknowingly become bondage, and I don't want that for you.This approach to the new year is probably going to be different than what you're seeing all over the internet & social media right now, but I pray that you tune in with an open heart and an open mind.That's being said, let's dive on in.

I loooove to learn about different tools that other entrepreneurs are using in their business to be more effective and efficient. That being said, I know that I can't be the only one who loves to learn these things. SO... I decided to take you behind the scenes of MY business and share with you the 5 must-have tools I use to run my 6-figure Christian coaching business.Now… Why would you care what I use?Because I've basically done the research for you. Have you ever experienced this overwhelming sense of… well, overwhelmWhen it literally paralyzes you to where you feel like you can't move forward at all?I know I have and I know it is a terrible feeling.That being said, I have a prayer for you when you are experiencing overwhelm or anxiety in addition to some Scripture that you can proclaim out loud when you are feeling this way.Because overwhelm, yes, is a feeling you are experiencing... but there could also be some spiritual warfare at play as well. That being said, it's so important to use Scripture to biblically fight these battles, because Scripture is alive and active.Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."That being said, using Scripture is going to help you in so many ways. With Christmas and the New Year right around the corner, I thought it was fitting to share with you how I've prepared to take 2-4 full weeks off from my business.
I will preface this by saying that my first handful of years in entrepreneurship, I did NOT take off for the holidays. AT ALL.
To be totally honest, I was kinda obsessed with my business and I didn't really know how to take time off from it without it falling apart. Can you relate??
Now, after being an entrepreneur for 5 and a half years now (whoooa, so weird to say that LOL), that has changed drastically. Thank goodness!!
I’m taking off the full week of Thanksgiving (and I know this episode is going live in December, but that's because I'm getting ahead with my episodes) AND two weeks off in December for Christmas and the New Year. But I may also be taking off the first week of January as well.
If you would have told me that I would be taking this much time off a couple of years ago, I would have fallen out of my chair. Seriously. It really would have actually given me anxiety, because I was always so nervous any time I needed to take a day off! I didn’t know how my business would run without me.
But now... taking time off brings me peace, excitement and joy.
That being said, in this episode, I am sharing 3 ways I prepare to take time off in my business.

Do you feel like you're going through a waiting season in your faith-based business?
If you are, I get it.
I know all too well how frustrating it is to be putting in the work with little to no reward.
I know about the sleepless nights you've had where you've cried out to God, begged Him to step in and give you what you've been asking for and/or begging Him for a sign.
I know the stuck feeling you’re experiencing. The amount of time you’ve spent thinking and brainstorming how to get out of the quicksand you feel like you’re sinking into. But the more you fight it, the quicker you sink.
I know about the emotional roller coaster you’ve been on with your business. One minute, you believe with your whole heart that this is your calling. The next, you are bawling your eyes out convinced it’s time to throw in the towel.
I know you’re tired of being stuck in your waiting season. I know it feels like it’s taking way too long. I know that perhaps you have been waiting for years.
I know because this was me.
I know the stuck feeling you're experiencing because I've experienced it myself. It can feel like you are in a constant season of waiting with no finish line in sight. And I've felt that wholeheartedly in my business, but also in my personal life.
But now that my business is finally harvesting after the years I spent tilling the soil, there are 3 biblical truths that I wish I understood about the waiting season sooner, and that's exactly what we are going to be covering in today's episode.

If you've ever experienced the holiday blues, seasonal depression, or seasonal affective disorder (SAD for short), then you probably know just how difficult it is to actually get anything done and be productive.
If you're not familiar with SAD, it is a type of depression that is related to a change in the seasons.
Mayo Clinic says that SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. They also share that if you're like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months.
From my understanding, this arises because it gets darker a lot earlier during the winter time, so it feels a bit more gloomy. In addition, people start feeling extra lonely during the holiday season if they are already feeling lonely and/or have experienced a loss of a loved one.
All that to say, if you are experiencing this, I really do understand that when you are feeling this way, it is so difficult to get anything done. Because of that, you start feeling guilty and shaming yourself for not being productive, which in turn, causes you to get even less done. #iykyk
That being said, this episode is going to walk you through 5 tips to help you be more productive when you are experiencing this in this season because these are things that will help you manage the symptoms you're experiencing.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner for those of us in the United States, I was prompted to put out an episode all about gratitude. But in this conversation, I'm sharing how you can practice gratitude when life or business gets HARD. Because let's be honest, life and business can get hard. And feeling grateful during those seasons can be DIFFICULT.
Perhaps you are in a waiting season and feeling hopeless right now. Or maybe you've been in a famine and you're waiting on the feast. Maybe you've been sowing seeds and tilling the soil, and you're just EXHAUSTED. Maybe you're wondering WHERE your harvest is, and asking God when the harvest is coming.
Maybe you've been single for years and waiting for your spouse, or maybe you're going through a difficult time with your spouse, best friend, or a client. Maybe you're questioning everything because you just feel stuck and nothing is working. Maybe you've been trying for a baby and you're feeling hopeless because it’s just not happening. Maybe you've been working on your business for years and still don't see a financial blessing.
If you're in a season like this, I want you to know that I have definitely had my fair share of them. I've honestly had many. and I think it's safe to say that the majority of humans, if not all humans, go through seasons like this.
That being said, this episode is meant to discuss gratitude from this perspective, because I know it can be rather difficult to embody thanksgiving and gratitude when you are going through these seasons.

It's truly remarkable to think that if I would have been born 100 years ago, I probably would not have a business. And I definitely wouldn't have an online business, because the internet and social media did not exist.
I say this to say that I am truly so grateful for social media, because without it, I would not have a business. My business started because of the infinite possibilities and opportunities presented to me on social media. In fact, every business venture I've been on started with social media.
While social media is amazing for business owners because you're able to get in touch with so many other humans, if you don't establish and maintain healthy social media boundaries, social media can also be a cause of a lot of mental exhaustion, chaos, stress, and put us in a fight or flight mentality because you're constantly consuming and staying distracted. Which then could provoke a lot of negative thought patterns, limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging behaviors like comparison, imposter syndrome, analysis paralysis, perfectionism, and the list could go on.
That being said, about a month ago, the Holy Spirit prompted me to implement one of the social media boundaries I'll be sharing with you, but when He prompted me to do this, I also felt Him prompt with a question that really got me thinking.
The question was...
If Jesus was physically here on Earth during the time of the internet and social media, how would He use it?
I've been on a journey with this and really praying into how Jesus would actually use social media, and doing my best to fully embody that.
There's a lot that goes into this question and I'm not going to be answering it in its entirety today, but I know one of the things He would do if he were to use it would be to first establish boundaries with it.
And that's exactly what we're covering today.
That being said, I've got 10 social media boundaries that you can implement ASAP. These boundaries are going to be super helpful for your work-life balance especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Because let's be real. We want to be present with our families and loved ones. That's the whole reason we want a business. We don't want our business to put us in bondage. And truthfully, social media and our business can sometimes feel like bondage if we're not careful.
These boundaries are going to be super effective in helping you get more work done more efficiently and effectively than before, which means you'll be able to make more money while also being more present this holiday season.
